The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

_{Since Otakon and Otakuthon are just about a month away and a week apart from one another, I'm now revealing my Otakon and Otakuthon line-up! Two busy weekends coming up but I'm so excited! <3

Planned Cosplay Schedule for Otakon

Rio (Hello Kitty to Issho! Block Crash 123!!) will be worn Friday and Sunday. Saturday will be Shampoo (Ranma 1/2) with ~SeibaTooth as my FemRanma.

Planned Cosplay Schedule for Otakuthon

Shampoo will return for Otakuthon again on Friday, with ~SeibaTooth. Q-Feuille (Kiddy GiRL-AND) will be worn Saturday with ~SeibaTooth as my Ascoeur. Sunday is still up in the air but we'll most likely be wearing one of these two outfits together.

Regarding Photoshoots

If you wish to schedule a photoshoot with me, send me a note with what you'll be cosplaying at for either Ota or Otaku. Photoshoots will be granted upon my interests in the costume. Thanks for understanding!

Yeah, Shampoo! I love that character, I hope to see your cosplay of her at Otakuthon. Actually, I'll also be cosplaying as Shampoo one of the days of the convention

I think Otakuthon is a great convention to be wearing that cosplay since it's right next to Chinatown! Lots of great photoshoot locations there, but I think you already knew that!

Hey Laurel! We'll be cosplaying on Friday as Balsa and Tanda from Serei no Moribito (my best friend and I) My sister and her friend will be Sheeta and Pazu from Castle in the Sky. On Saturday we'll be in Fate/Stay Night cosplay. I'll be in my new armor, wig, and everything (super excited), Madeline will be Rin, and my best friend will be cospaying Shirou Emiya. I also think we might do Princess Tutu again on Sunday--not positive yet. However, Madeline will be in the masquerade as Tutu. You should come and watch

her act is a bit of a secret.
